Sky Care provides Air Ambulance services within the Province of Ontario through a standing offer agreement managed by ORNGE. Our medical staff are certified and work under ORNGE's Base Hospital, an industry leader in Transport Medicine, as well as Sky Care's own medical director. We provide our Air Ambulance services across three bases in Ontario: Kitchener, Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout. Sky Care utilizes two different aircraft to accommodate the diverse needs of its patients. Our Metro aircraft are among the largest and most capable Air Ambulance platforms in the provincial system, providing bariatric and true team transport capabilities. We also utilize a Westwind Jet with best‐in‐class range, enabling nonstop transcontinental flights and making it an excellent tool for long‐haul transfers. In addition to various levels of care, we also specialize in different team transports, including NICU, ECMO, and others, as they become available for air transport. Sky Care also provides private repatriation, bringing patients home from domestic destinations or international destinations in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Position Summary The Flight Registered Nurse (F‐RN) is a highly skilled critical care nurse certified to practice in an aeromedical environment. The F‐RN functions both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary air medical crew, including paramedics, physicians, communications specialists, and pilots. This role is responsible for providing advanced clinical care to critically ill pediatric and adult patients during air transport, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes in a dynamic out‐of‐hospital environment.
