Warehouse Associate (Kitchener)

Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This position offers an excellent chance to develop skills in logistics, inventory management, and heavy machinery operation within a fast-paced environment. Duties - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load and unload materials efficiently and safely - Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to ensure accurate order fulfillment - Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy - Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 for tracking inventory and processing orders - Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of products to support warehouse operations - Support construction or manufacturing-related tasks as needed, including the operation of heavy machinery - Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency - Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines Experience - Prior experience in warehouse distribution or manufacturing environments is preferred - Proficiency with heavy equipment operation including forklift, reach truck, crane, and order picker is highly desirable - Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms - Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus - Experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, loading & unloading, and packaging processes - Strong ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently - Construction or related heavy machinery experience is advantageous - Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail This Warehouse Associate position offers an engaging work environment for individuals eager to grow their skills in logistics, equipment operation, and warehouse management.
