About Us: We are Waterloo Region's first private swim school, built with heart, purpose, and a passion for helping children thrive in the water. Our mission is to make swimming safe, confidence-building, and joyful for every child we teach. NOTE: **We are seeking instructors who are available for consistent, year-round scheduling. This is not a seasonal or summer-only position.** As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and high-energy Swim Instructors who genuinely love working with kids and want to be part of something special from the ground up. Availability Requirements: Candidates must have maximum availability during our operating hours: - Tuesday–Friday: 3:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Sunday: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. **Mandatory Requirements (Please Read Carefully) Applicants must meet ALL of the following to be considered: - Minimum 3+ years of swim instruction experience (mandatory) - Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification (required) - Standard First Aid with CPR Level C - Strong knowledge of pool safety regulations and procedures - Must enjoy working with children and feel confident teaching various age groups - High energy, enthusiastic, and positive attitude - Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check Key Responsibilities: - Instruction: Teaching swimming techniques, developing lesson plans, and adapting instruction for individual needs. - Safety and Supervision: Ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants, enforcing pool rules, and educating patrons on water safety. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards. - Attend all scheduled staff training - Record all hours worked - Keep all Certifications current - Relationships: Build strong rapport with students and celebrating achievements. - Community: Actively contribute to building a supportive, engaged community both within the school and the local area.
