As a Registered Practical Nurse , you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a robust contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. What makes you a great fit? - Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards - Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to follow up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and inform/seek assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate - Promoting the Client’s self‑care and self‑sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, promoting wellness and providing preventative health education, thus treating the whole person - Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes - Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education - Post‑graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset - Performing other duties as assigned What you need to know: - Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario. - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. - Current Medication Administration Certificate. - Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). - You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit. - You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check. - Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position.
