Description
Duties and Responsibilities: · Lead and coordinate the month-end close process for multiple entities, ensuringaccuracy, completeness, and timeliness. ·Analyze historical client and operational financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, margin impacts, and reporting gaps. ·Develop and maintain custom financial reports, dashboards, and templates to support decision-making across departments. ·Investigate variances and anomalies independently, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. ·Maintain and strengthen internal controls and data integrity within ERP systems (Tharstern, Business Central). ·Identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve ERP and reporting issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders. ·Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives with meaningful analytical insight. ·Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet reconciliations. ·Prepare ad hoc analysis for management to support operational and strategic decisions. ·Serve as a resource to internal teams by providing financial clarity and guidance on reporting and data questions. ·Act as backup support for payroll review and selected accounting functions as required. ·Continuously identify process improvement opportunities that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial transparency. ·Ensure compliance with company policies, financial standards, and occupational health and safety requirements. Qualifications and Skills : · Minimum of 8 years of experience in an accounting role, with a passion for full-cycle accounting ·University degree or college certificate in accounting ·CPA designation considered an asset ·Knowledge of current Canadian accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements (ASPE) ·Strong fundamental math skills ·Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation ·Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills (xlookup, custom table creation, index/match function) ·Solid time management and organizational abilities ·Demonstrated accuracy in calculating, posting, correcting, and managing accounting figures and financial records · Excellent written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p3ghm
