Senior Electrical Design Engineer Kitchener

Role: Intermediate Mechanical Designer Location: KWG Salary: 75k+ (Based on Experience) Fully on site Were working with a well-established and highly regarded consulting engineering firm in the Kitchener Waterloo region that is looking to add an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to their growing team. Why this role stands out: Join a stable, respected firm with a strong pipeline of projects across commercial, institutional, and mixed-use sectors Work closely with experienced engineers and leadership who are hands-on and supportive Gain exposure to projects from early design through to construction, not just isolated tasks Clear chance to grow technically and professionally, with mentorship and development support Cooperative team culture where your input is valued and recognized Prospect to take on increasing responsibility as you progress Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems Prepare drawings, layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit Support project teams through all phases, including schematic design, detailed design, and construction administration Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and architectural consultants Perform basic calculations and assist with system sizing and equipment selection Attend site visits and support field reviews as required Qualifications: 36 years of experience in mechanical design within a building consulting environment Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (OBC, ASHRAE, etc.) Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to continue developing technically This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the full project lifecycle and is looking for a position where they can continue to grow within a supportive and well-structured environment.
