MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN OPERATIONS: MAINTENANCE DEP – AFTERNOON SHIFT (PM) REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor PM POSTING #: 65 Open Positions : One (1) Rate Group: $46.00 Job Purpose The Maintenance Electrician will maintain all equipment to required plant standards and be responsive to line calls, and equipment failures. They will also routinely performs work independently and must be able to work in an environment with many distractions while maintaining a high level of accuracy in performing their duties. Hours of work are from 3:00 PM –11:30 PM, Monday – Friday. - Provides support in troubleshooting / repairs and system improvements (optimization) to ensure quality and efficiency - Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required - Provides support in testing, repairing, calibrating electric or electronic components - Maintains and upgrades PLC software; assist in training Team Members on electric equipment as required - Analyze, records, charts and all documentation required for maintenance records, projects and departments - Prepares drawing material specifications to requisitions required by vendors or other departments - Develops controls drawings and design concepts - Deals with various venders; both supplier and equipment suppliers - Responds to all maintenance requirements within the department - Participate in ongoing cross-training, multi-skilling activities within the organization - Demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving results - Ensures that all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations - Knows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to this job function - Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies - Adheres to Conestoga Meat's core values - Performs other duties as required Qualifications - Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Electrical or an equivalent diploma/degree in electrical controls, as required - Candidates will have a Certificate of Apprenticeship or possess a recognized equivalent (testing may be required) - Proof of CSA Z462 Arc Flash Certification training required - Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated and verifiable experience working in a manufacturing environment. - Working Knowledge (oral/written) of both English and Mathematics - Working knowledge of Safety Standards of Equipment - PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience; Allen Bradley - Ability to work in various locations within and outside the plant - Good attention to detail, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills - Ability to work to deadlines and multiple demands - Ability to uphold confidentiality - Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs - Ability to work independently and without supervision Work Conditions Required to work in a multi- disciplined and fast-paced work environment where Safety, Quality, People and productivity are the focus of all organizational objectives Why Work at Conestoga Meats? - Growing company with opportunity to grow with team and department - Stable full-time hours; no rotating shifts - Competitive advantages package for you and your family at 3 months of service - Pension plan and company matching at 1 year of service - Floater day given on top of vacation days - Diverse workforce; translation of communication materials into 8 languages - Discounts on quality pork products - Employee assistance program (financial assistance, mental health resources) - Social Committee events (food trucks, gifts, games) - BBQ's and wellness programs - On-site training and company provided equipment - Employee scholarship program and English courses Working Location: 313 Menno St, Breslau, Ontario, NOB 1M0.
