Operations Assistant (Kitchener-Waterloo)

Role summary: Primarily working from our Breslau, Ontario location, the Operations Assistant provides a wide range of hands-on support to our operations team in our warehouse and in the field. You will receive, inventory, prepare, refurbish, and deploy commercial laundry equipment, parts, and payment systems to locations across South Western Ontario. You will be required to drive a company vehicle to customer locations to perform dryer vent cleaning and assist with equipment installations. You may also assist with light construction or other duties to support the growth and efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities - Prepare commercial washers and dryers for installation - Perform shipping/receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks - Assist with various shop-related activities e.g., organizing and maintaining the shop, pulling parts, ordering/purchasing supplies, light construction work when needed - Assist with equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and dryer vent cleaning services in various locations across South-Western Ontario - Always adhere to company policies and safety regulations - Maintain an excellent driving record and follow company vehicle maintenance guidelines - Participate in training as required Requirements & Competencies - Reliable transportation to our shop in Breslau - Minimum Grade 12 education - 1-3 years of experience working in an operations/field service role - Good verbal and written communication skills - Positive, customer-centric attitude - Quick learner with attention to detail - Practical and hands-on, with mechanical / technical aptitude and knowledge of using basic tools - Ability to work under minimal supervision - Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly - Must have a valid G license with a clean driver’s abstract, and the flexibility and desire to travel daily to various sites - Willing to work some evenings and weekends, with occasional overnight travel - Forklift operating experience and certification is an asset - Gas certification (G3 or G2), or interest to obtain, is an asset About River Rock Laundry: We are a fast-growing company with a big vision of providing exceptional customer service in an industry that is overdue for a change.
