Health And Safety Coordinator - KINGS CLEANERS INC (Kitchener)

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining workplace health and safety programs to ensure a protected working environment for all employees. Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health & safety policies and procedures - Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards - Deliver safety training and onboarding for employees - Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions - Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation - Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities and initiatives - Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation - Coordinate WSIB reporting, return-to-work, and modified duties processes - Maintain safety binders, logs, and documentation across multiple locations - Support emergency response procedures and follow-up reporting - Provide support with general office administration and other duties as required - Travel between job sites as required Qualifications & Skills - College diploma or university degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience) - Minimum 2 years of experience in health & safety or compliance-related role - Knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation (OHSA) - JHSC certification considered an asset - Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle - First Aid & CPR certification (asset) - WSIB experience considered an asset - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities - Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented Additional Information - Part time position - Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) - Hourly rate: CA$23.00 - Police background check required - Travel between job sites required Application Requirement Applicants are asked to submit a short video introducing themselves and explaining why they are a good fit for this role.
