We have an exciting opportunity for a
Project Engineer
to join and grow with our Water and Wastewater Treatment team. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality water and wastewater treatment projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to help meet client expectations, project objectives, and organizational standards. You will also contribute to promoting our strong safety culture and commitment to caring for one another.
This position offers the flexibility of our hybrid work model, including flexible hours, working from home, and working either in our Mississauga or Kitchener offices.
Responsibilities
Supporting the project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed designs for municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.
Assisting in planning, organizing, and coordinating work with technical teams to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, health and safety, and risk management requirements.
Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
Assisting with timely preparation of invoices and supporting project financial tracking.
Providing technical guidance to junior staff and contributing to a collaborative project team environment.
Maintaining clear and proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Supporting business development activities, including preparing technical components for proposals and project pursuits.
Qualifications
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering from an accredited university.
8 years of relevant technical and project experience within consulting, specifically in municipal water/wastewater systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.).
Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario and/or other provinces.
Strong technical background in water and wastewater systems, with experience across various project phases (conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration).
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience in client coordination.
Commitment to delivering innovative, practical, and technically sound solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently while meeting project deadlines.
