Position Summary This role serves as the critical link between Production, Logistics, and Procurement/Supply Chain, ensuring seamless material flow and operational alignment across the facility. Acting as a systems-level thinker and execution lead, you will connect the dots across functions to identify gaps, implement step-change improvements, and optimize both existing and new process flows. You will operate as the go-to expert for logistics and material flow, owning governance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that processes, storage strategies, and supply mechanisms are aligned to meet production demands efficiently and reliably. You will have a holistic, fundamental understanding of the processes and be the gatekeeper for any changes. What You Will Do: Engineer and optimize material flow across inbound, storage, replenishment, and point-of-use delivery to support production demand and minimize waste. Conduct cycle time analysis, time studies, and capacity modeling to identify bottlenecks, balance workloads, and improve throughput. Develop and implement storage and warehouse strategies (layout, slotting, space utilization) aligned with material velocity and business needs. Act as the connector between Production, Logistics, and Procurement/Supply Chain, ensuring alignment on priorities, constraints, and execution. Develop recent material introductions by defining palletization, storage strategy, and space allocation to ensure seamless integration into operations. Define, track, and enforce Internal Logistics SLAs, driving adoption of Kanban and Just-in-Time (JIT) principles to ensure reliable production supply. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives, using data to identify gaps and implement sustainable solutions. Lead and coordinate cross-functional escalations, resolving material flow and warehouse disruptions quickly and effectively. Utilize ERP/EWMS systems to manage and analyze material flow, inventory health, and operational performance. Apply structured problem-solving (e.g., root cause analysis, 5-Why) to eliminate recurring issues and improve system performance. Responsibility for safety risk assessment updates, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies for the health and safety of both company staff and the wider community Proving job assistance and training for employees as needed Other duties as required What You Need: BASc or equivalent, preferably in Industrial Engineering 3- 5 years of manufacturing experience in a high volume production manufacturing environment (preferably in a Logistics engineering role) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven experience with cycle time analysis, time studies, capacity planning, Kanban/JIT systems, ERP and/or EWS systems Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and change initiatives independently Solid analytical skills with a track record of data-driven decision making Ability to demonstrate time management skills Understanding of lean manufacturing principles Excellent computer skills and knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD and Google/Microsoft Office Suite Our Team Vista is the industry leader in personalized physical and digital products. In alignment with our compensation philosophy, the target hiring range is based on total cash compensation. The actual salary offered will depend on factors such as education, training, and experience.
