Description
We are recruiting an experienced Data Analytics, Quality, and Process Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry. NOTE: - Remote position in Windsor, Ontario - Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date to attend meetings as required. - Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record RESPONSIBILITIES: - Procedure documentation, efficiency assessments (process capability, cycle-time, downtime data with impact categorization, and FTC monitoring) - DFSS/DMAIC project execution - Implementation of lean process methodologies, continuous quality-improvement strategies, and autonomous mitigation/prevention of test issues aimed at both quality improvements and cost reductions - Creating CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for commodities using - Data analytics for emissions - Assisting with Lean and process improvements and quality REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university. - Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in defining and/or applying process improvement techniques for Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) - Experience with full process quality deployment and optimization in a high-paced production or test environment - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Experience with engineering standard measurement techniques and tools (MS Office Suite, Minitab, SPC, distributions, etc.) - Experienced with developing MS -Excel macros - Proficiency with: DFSS/DMAIC/Six-Sigma and Root-cause analysis tools (PFMEA, 8D, 5S, Kaizen, Gage R&R;, ANOVA, ISO-17025) - Experience with developing code in C/C++ or Java is a plus - Must be a motivated self starter PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS - Master of Science degree from an accredited university - Experience in project management including MS Project - Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills working with individuals and groups - Demonstrated experience communicating effectively to senior level management - Proficiency with relational databases (i.e. DB2) - Ability to understand DB structure and write SQL statements COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: - $31.00 - $36.00/hour (depending on experience) - Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc. - Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October) MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
