Description
Your Contribution As a Plant Manager reporting to the Director of Operations USA/Canada, you will be responsible for full P&L; and line responsibilities for Production Engineering, Logistics & Operational Excellence, Controlling, Human Resources, and all other functional departments at the MAHLE Tilbury site. You will foster a highly functioning ONE-MAHLE team culture, develop business strategies, budgeting, cost reduction, warranty, staffing, safety and labor relations to achieve organizational performance in line with our strategic plan. Responsibilities - Embrace MAHLE Leadership Principles by empowering with accountability, fostering autonomy and development, trusting team members, utilizing differences, inspiring for change, leading by example, creating an inclusive environment, and taking ownership of talent management practices. - Assist with the establishment and execution of the strategic long-range plan while identifying and supporting short-term objectives for BU2 North America. - Create roadmaps for Operations, Operational Excellence, Logistics & Production Engineering, including comprehensive analysis and prioritization of key opportunities for sustainable increases in productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. - Assist with the analysis and prioritization of key opportunities for locations, including areas outside of direct scope, and engage cross-functional and cross Business Unit members to execute initiatives that drive sustainable results. - Work closely with Executive Staff, including Plant Managers, to drive a cultural transformation through building effective matrix teams and talent multiplication to deliver successful business outcomes. - Oversee the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage escalated issues related to manufacturing, logistics, operational excellence & production engineering. - Lead strategic, complex process improvement projects and deliver results through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and change management. - Support a variety of improvement initiatives, workshops and projects designed to improve throughput time, flexibility, quality, and value utilizing techniques such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED, 8-D, Problem Solving and Value Analysis. - Maintain a disciplined, data-driven culture that aligns continuous improvement with established strategy and objectives. - Serve as a leader of change and innovation, challenge the status quo, influence others to embrace change, overcome resistance, and implement outstanding ideas. - Establish measurement systems to identify opportunities and quantify implemented improvements. - Perform all other duties and projects as assigned. Your Experience & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in production operations management, Engineering, Business or related discipline; MBA preferred. - Minimum 15 years of experience, including in manufacturing processes and 10+ years in progressive management roles for a Tier 1 global or multi-national company as a Plant Manager. - Proven track record for delivering strategic results and executing effective change management. - Strong foundational knowledge of the P&L.; - Excellent vision regarding benchmarking and year-over-year progress. Benefits & Compensation Compensation Range: $175,000 - $225,000.
