General Laborer- Grading Crew (Langford)

Job Summary (LOCAL CANDIDATES IN VICTORIA BC ONLY). Capital City Paving is currently hiring for a hybrid role that combines the duties of a Equipment operator and a Laborer. We're looking for a reliable, safety-minded team player who’s comfortable operating equipment and contributing to manual labor tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: Grading Crew Labor: - Assist with grading and site prep by shoveling, raking, and spreading materials. - Use hand tools and light equipment (plate compactors, tampers, etc.). - Support equipment operators with layout and ground-level guidance. - Install and remove traffic control signage and safety barricades. - Experience operating equipment such as a roller and skid steer is a plus - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work setting. Qualifications: - Clean and current driver’s abstract. - Experience operating equipment such as skid steer, rollers, water truck is considered an asset. - Experience in road construction, paving, or grading work (preferred). - Physically fit and able to perform heavy manual labor in various weather conditions. - Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to be part of a team. - Able to follow direction and communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors. - Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
