EDUCATION ASSISTANT Location: District – North, Pemberton Secondary School Duration: Temporary: Immediately to June 26, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first Schedule: Hours: 6 hours per day, for all days school is in session for students (Education Assistant) Rate of Pay: $33.69/hr (Education Assistant) Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of the Principal(s) and general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated program's goals and objectives. Supervision of a designated area either inside or outside the school, before, during and/or after school as defined by the terms of the assignment. Qualifications Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year of related experience. A special program such as the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning tools (e.g., computers, etc).
