Join** **Hall Constructors** **as a** **Accounting Clerk****!** The Accounting Clerk reports to the Corporate Controller for Hall Group of Companies’ business units and is accountable to assist the Corporate Controller with billings, accounts receivables & accounts payables and other accounting tasks, as required. **Core Responsibilities:** Billing & Invoicing - Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with contracts, purchase orders, and company policies - Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation - Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely manner Collections & Accounts Receivable Administration - Prepare AR aging reports and other collection related reports as required - Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts via email and phone - Work with customers to resolve payment issues and secure timely payment - Escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with internal credit and collections policies - Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts - Maintain up‑to‑date customer account records and credit information Accounts Payable Administration - Invoice processing including receiving, reviewing, and verifying invoices for accuracy, proper documentation, and appropriate approvals with a high level of accuracy - Maintain vendor files, respond to vendor inquiries, and resolve discrepancies or payment issues - Prepare scheduled payment runs (cheques, EFTs), ensuring payments align with terms and internal controls - Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and resolve outstanding items **Technical Skills:** - Strong working knowledge of AP & AR reporting requirements - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills **Interpersonal Skills:** - Strong work ethic and demonstrated team collaboration skills - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple duties - Responsive, excellent time management skillset - Highly detail oriented and analytical **Qualifications:** - Minimum of three years of experience in accounting / finance role - Accounting Diploma or equivalent credential is considered an asset - Prior experience within the construction industry is desirable - Demonstrates ability to take responsibility for deadlines and accuracy of work **You can expect these great benefits:** - Competitive compensation packages - Extended health benefits - RRSP matching program to help you plan for your future - Team building and social events - Training, development and mentorship opportunities - Opportunity to advance in your career - Work-life balance - A great culture where we truly value our employees - Only residents in the Lower Mainland of BC will be considered **About** **Hall Constructors****:** Hall Constructors was founded in 2010 and since then has seen steady growth to become one of Business in Vancouver’s Top 10 Construction Companies in BC.
