The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Project Architect to complement our Langley office. You will provide design leadership on various projects and assist as a technical expert on specialized design and act as a design resource for specific components of projects. You will assist in the education and development of design staff. Woodframe Multi-Family Projects experience is essential. Here's what you’ll be doing at Kasian: - Work with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for private sector clients - Develop project criteria, the scope of services, detailed work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource (staff, technical, and budget) requirements over the project lifecycle - Push the boundaries of design while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings, create design concepts and presentation material - Lead, motivate, and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentation - Coordinate with project consultants (ie. electrical, mechanical, structural) - Resolve complex design and technical issues - Manage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project process - Ensure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and by achieving scheduled milestones - Undertake site reviews and construction administration Here’s what you bring to Kasian: - B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program, coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in wood-frame multi-family projects. - Registration with a provincial regulatory board is a strong asset - Effective written and oral communication skills - An creative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current with new trends, materials, and construction methods - Strong technical knowledge and technical drawing experience in Revit - Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills - An ability to add value to all stages of project delivery Salary starts at $100,000+ per annum, based on a 40-hour work week. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, and skill set.
