*must have class 5 (full) driver's license Job Description: Based in the beautiful Fraser Valley, VLG has been providing landscaping services for over 40 years. Teamed up with a mowing crew, your position is to work alongside others in maintaining gardens and landscapes alike. Duties - This position will be required to show capability in the following areas: - Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. - Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete landscaping projects. - Assist in the installation of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. - Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to design specifications. - Maintain garden beds by weeding, mulching, and applying fertilizers as needed. - Operate equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety guidelines. - Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to client satisfaction. -Operating lawnmowers safely and to company standards to maintain beautiful landscapes – Operate small lawn and garden equipment such as line trimmers, blowers, and hand tools (Training provided) – Maintain physical activities on a regular basis, such as lifting equipment or maneuvering loads of debris/organic waste – Be able to remain on task and complete work in an efficient but quality manner – Remain respectful at all times towards fellow crew members as well as others you may come in contact with Skills - Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners. - Experience with power tools including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers. - Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practices. - Ability to irrigate effectively to promote healthy plant growth. - Strong attention to detail with a passion for gardening and landscaping aesthetics. - Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
