Certified Dental Assistant (Langley)

Job Summary We are a friendly patient-focused dental office looking for a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team on a permanent part time basis. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care. Your expertise will support general dentistry procedures, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialty areas. As a key member of our clinic, you will utilize your knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and medical documentation to deliver top-quality service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us uphold the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Duties - Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics using four-handed dentistry techniques - Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning - Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care delivery - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental procedures to promote health literacy Qualifications - Certified Dental Assistant credential from an accredited program or institution - 1+ year of previous experience working in a dental clinic setting preferred - Experience with Tracker Software Preferred. - Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques - Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools - Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and team members in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry settings - Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment If you’re motivated, hardworking, and enjoy being part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you!
