General Labourer, Langley

Responsibilities

Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.

Load and unload metal parts from fixtures and move parts using hand truck or dolly.

Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools.

Read and interpret work orders.

Follow directions given on work orders and by co‑workers.

Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices.

Operate Fork Lifts, jib and overhead cranes.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Completion of grade 10.

Ability to operate a Fork Lift (training may be provided).

General knowledge of basic tools and equipment.

Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others.

Time management, organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent safety record.

Pre‑employment medical evaluation required; passing Level 1 fitness test on first attempt is a bona fide occupational requirement.
