Ramen Cook/Dishwasher (Langley)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards, and keeping the dishwashing area organized and sanitary. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, robust attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties - Assist in food preparation and meal assembly, following established recipes and safety guidelines - Cook and serve food items as directed by the kitchen supervisor or chef - Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices to ensure quality and safety standards are met - Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness - Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces - Manage inventory of dishware and utensils, notifying management when supplies need replenishing - Follow all food handling regulations and safety procedures to prevent contamination or accidents - Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely meal service Experience - Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required - Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling practices is a plus - Experience with dishwashing or maintaining cleanliness in a commercial kitchen setting is beneficial - Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety within a supportive team environment.
