Part-time Server (Langley)

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties - Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm - Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS - Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality - Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities - Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities - Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld throughout service - Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed - Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods - Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, utensils, and dining spaces - Provide guest services that foster a positive atmosphere and encourage repeat visits Requirements - Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required - Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus - Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor - Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines - Basic math skills for billing, cashiering, and handling transactions accurately - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours - Experience with food handling, food safety procedures, and hospitality standards - Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous - Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail - Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed Join our team where your hospitality skills will be valued, and you'll have the opportunity to grow within a vibrant restaurant setting.
