This position is a Two Year Contract with Benefits Key Responsibilities Training Management
Facilitate training and onboarding for newly hired associates and act as culture ambassador to support a positive associate experience
Coordinate with business partners, including Supply Chain Leadership Team, Training Specialists, Safety, and Human Relations to ensure associates complete requirements
Work with the local management teams to create and manage training matrix for the location, including tracking completed
Partner with the Operational Excellence team, Training and Engagement Supervisors, and the Supply Chain Leadership team to evaluate associate capabilities and provide clear feedback on skill proficiency and any additional training needs.
Identify opportunities for improving training practices and make recommendations to Supply Chain Leadership team
Support associate engagement and retention initiatives at the facilities
Coordinate individual and group training events as needed
Maintain documentation, including training logs, sign in sheets, and electronic signatures to verify training completion and ensure this information is logged
Play an active role in streamlining our training programs, processes and tools to increase the impact on the associates.
Act as a leader in promoting a strong safety and wellness culture by supporting and reinforcing programs, encouraging team engagement, and ensuring safe practices are consistently applied on the floor.
Support and influence management decisions by sharing practical, field-based insights, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to solutions that enhance operations, safety, and team engagement.
Create process&procedure around repetitive tasks (Automation) to increase bandwidth on value added tasks/activities
Approach all tasks with an open mind to help uncover new improvement opportunities.
Be a change agent for the adoption of new ways of working and in enabling our daily management processes with the people at the center.
Additional Requirements
Learn and understand the business, bakery requirements from Safety, Quality, Cost, Training&Engagement aspects as this is a cross functional role which needs to collaborate with different stakeholders at the same time
Must be knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health&Safety requirements and lead by example.
Experience&Education
The successful candidate will possess a relevant post‑secondary education
Previous experience in a unionized food, dairy, beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset
Superior communication skills in a multi‑cultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of front‑line industrial relations issues
Takes initiative, exercises good judgment in day‑to‑day business decisions
Strong leadership skills; be an active change agent at your sites.
Knowledge of good labour/management practices including progressive discipline and positive reinforcement techniques
Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations and best practices
The flexibility to adapt to a 24‑hour, 7‑day operation schedule
The annual salary range for applicants is: $59,625 - $88,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
