ROLE SUMMARY– CASUAL POSITION As a Casual Physiotherapist at iScope, you will provide coverage for scheduled absences, vacations, and increased patient demand across our clinic locations. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible work while maintaining exposure to a diverse and collaborative clinical environment.
You will be expected to step into an existing caseload, maintain continuity of care, and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thorough assessments of patients with concussions and pain conditions.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records.
Monitor and document patients’ progress.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, incorporating evidence‑based techniques.
Provide case management support to clients requiring coordination of multiple services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and advancements in concussion management and pain rehabilitation, and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and providing respectful, patient‑centered care.
Availability Expectations
Provide coverage on short notice when possible
Availability for occasional Saturdays is considered an asset
Willingness to travel between clinic locations (if applicable)
Ability to adapt to varying schedules and clinic needs
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
Member in good standing and professional membership with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
Vestibular or concussion background an asset, but not required. Mentorship and on‑site training available.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Compassionate and dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to patients in collaboration with other team members.
Motivated in professional growth and learning.
Efficient in time management with strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge and competency in maintaining confidentiality of client information according to FIPPA and PHIPA legislation.
Respond to new client inquiries in a timely manner and provide an overall excellent level of customer service.
Strong knowledge of community resources.
Demonstrated ability to relate to clients in ways that build confidence and trust.
Able to work in a highly diverse community with individuals from varied backgrounds.
Good judgment, sensitivity, flexibility, discretion, and resourcefulness.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and senior administrators about issues facing individuals in crisis and make recommendations.
