Floor Manager (Langley)

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing restaurant workflows, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and hospitality is essential to succeed in this position. Duties - Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and baristas, to ensure smooth operations - Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and adherence to food safety regulations - Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures - Conduct interviewing and hiring of new team members, as well as ongoing training and development - Monitor customer service levels to ensure guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly - Enforce food safety protocols and cleanliness standards across the kitchen and dining areas - Assist with food handling, serving, and other hospitality duties as needed during busy periods - Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen workflow efficiently - Lead by example in demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and professionalism within the restaurant environment Qualifications - Proven experience in restaurant management or food service supervision - Solid background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards - Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures - Demonstrated leadership skills with prior team management experience - Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence - Ability to supervise food handling operations and ensure compliance with health regulations - Previous hotel or hospitality industry experience is a plus - Experience with interviewing staff and managing restaurant operations effectively - Knowledge of the food industry trends, restaurant experience, kitchen operations, and serving protocols - Leadership qualities combined with strong communication skills to motivate team members This position offers an opportunity to lead a vibrant team in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in food service and management will be valued.
