Litigation Associate (3-5 years' experience) - #5121 Your Langley client, one of the Lower Mainlands most established law firms, is looking for an Associate to join their litigation group. You are a forward-thinking and results-driven Associate with interest and relevant experience within general litigation, specifically in the areas of commercial litigation. The successful candidate will benefit from all of the firm’s resources, from in-house marketing to a top-notch team of legal support professionals.

In addition to working on files directly with Partners who take an active role in mentoring and training lawyers, the Associate will be provided the opportunity to manage their own files and will be provided with the resources to develop their own practice.

Qualifications

LLB/J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia;

3-5 years of litigation experience, ideally in commercial litigation;

Strong research, drafting and advocacy skills;

Experience advising clients with respect to litigation and disputes;

Confident at engaging and interacting with clients;

Exceptional work ethic;

Client service oriented and team player;

Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities Manage your own files within the litigation group, working directly with Partners who provide mentoring and training. Engage with clients consistently, and develop your own practice through the firm’s resources.
