Shipper/Receiver/Driver (Langley)

Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group is BC's well established Volvo / Mack Truck dealer. We are now accepting applications for a Shipper/Receiver/Driver to be part of our Langley team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The shift will be Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm We Offer - A competitive compensation package with annual raises and premiums - A union pension plan paid for by the company - Generous Health Care perks (health spending account, prescription coverage, dental, vision, short & long-term disability, life insurance, paramedical services, and more) - Opportunities for development, growth and advancement Responsibilities: - Provide accurate count and verify identification of parts received, placed in stores, and issued - Process work accurately to avoid delays in schedules, resulting in lost time - Receive, store, issue, and control inventory within the warehouse - Verify identification of parts by reviewing related paperwork; visually check for damage or other obvious discrepancies - Observe proper material handling procedures in performance of duties - Operate forklift - Replenish parts - Pick and deliver part kits where required - Provide back-up Parts Driver support as required - Provide janitorial support to warehouse as required - Commitment to promoting and supporting a safe workplace - Parts delivery when needed What we are looking for: - Completion of high school - Driving experience with 3 ton and 5 ton vehicles - Ability to perform under highly repetitive and routine work situations on a sustained basis - Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. - Previous experience in a similar warehouse environment - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company - Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract is required - Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency, performing all duties in an accurate and timely manner - Emphasis on safety in the workplace, adhering to all safety policies and programs in place - Team player with a proactive and positive attitude, and a strong work ethic - Previous experience in a warehouse setting would be considered an asset - Must have the ability to work with little supervision and manage multiple objectives - Organized and mindful of improving processes - Self-motivated, team oriented individual who has the ability to perform successfully under pressure Please send in a recent drivers abstract with your resume.
