Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a rapid-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Line Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by ensuring timely and consistent meal preparation. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presented attractively Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for replenishment Adhere to all food safety regulations and restaurant policies Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably in a restaurant setting Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced setting Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: Discounted or free food Flexible schedule In office parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pmuds
