Delivery Driver/Material Handler (Langley)

Westpro Flooring is a family run business that specializes in the sale, supply and installation of flooring. Westpro Flooring is growing in the industry servicing commercial, multi-family, custom homes and renovation projects. Position Overview As a Delivery Driver / Material Handler, you will play a role in our operations team, ensuring the efficient, accurate and delivery of products/materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for order fulfillment, vendor pick ups, and delivery to construction sites, commercial locations and residences. This role requires the physical loading and unloading of materials, with the assistance of an electric tailgate, electric pallet jack, and forklift. What We Are Looking For... Experience: - 1+ year of experience in a high-volume, physical, and fast-paced warehouse environment. Flooring background would be an asset. - Experience with driving a 3-tonne truck/cube van including compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards. - Operating electric pallet jack, electric power gate, forklift Physical Requirements: Safely and effectively move products/materials: - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75lbs), on a repetitive basis - Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up stairs, as required - Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and sit for extended periods Operational Skills: - Represent Westpro Flooring with professionalism and respect among vendors, installers and customers. - Willingness to learn - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Detail oriented and ability to accurately complete tasks - Self starter with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities. Key Responsibilities: Operations & Inventory: - Load and unload flooring materials, and hand bombing materials at site - Maintain punctual deliveries and pick ups as scheduled by the Warehouse Manager. - Assist in warehouse with order picking, and tasks as required. - Ensure protected operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklift(s), and power pallet jacks. - Maintain cleanliness on all vehicles and equipment. Safety & Compliance: - Ensure full compliance with WorkSafe, and site occupational health and safety regulations. First Aid Certification is an asset. - Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting routine inspections. - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
