Team and Job Overview
The Digital&Technology Solutions (DTS) group, under the Chief Information Officer, was established in 2023 with the mission of enabling secure, reliable digital experiences and technology outcomes to support EDC’s business transformation.
Objectives:
Define, execute, and sustain integrated technology target state, data model, and operations. Establish and manage the rolling Digital Roadmap. Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies. Lead integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations.
The Principal Infrastructure Platform Architect reports to the Director, IT Platform Enablement and is accountable for shaping, evolving, and governing EDC’s infrastructure foundations across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
What You Will Be Doing
Own the infrastructure architecture vision and target state across environments. Design end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions and platform capabilities. Define and maintain reference architectures, standards, and reusable building blocks. Act as a design authority, leading and approving design reviews.Drive architecture governance and community alignment. Partner with cybersecurity to embed security‑by‑design controls. Define SLO/SLA expectations, observability, reliability, and supportability criteria. Influence investment and delivery sequencing through roadmaps and prioritization. Support supplier and partner governance and procurement requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience designing and governing infrastructure architectures and modernization initiatives. Proven ability to define and own platform strategies and translate requirements into roadmaps.Experience as a design authority, leading reviews and managing exceptions. Experience partnering with procurement and managing vendors. Strong written and verbal communication for decision records and leadership recommendations. Experience driving cost transparency and optimization. Strong knowledge management and enablement mindset.Leadership through influence, coaching, and talent planning.
What Will Make You Stand Out
Relevant certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP Architecture, FinOps Practitioner, ITIL, M365, CoPilot or AI fundamentals). Hands‑on experience with supplier governance and commercial management. Bilingual in English and French.
