Registered Educator for Extended Day Program, Ahuntsic North

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a Registered Early Childhood Educator to enrich children’s learning experiences. This part-time role centers around supporting Junior and Senior Kindergarten students through creative programming.

You will work 17.5 hours per week under the Extended Day Program, collaborating closely with other educators to enhance children's developmental skills. This role requires excellent communication and a deep understanding of early childhood development principles to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:• Direct the Extended Day Program for diverse age groups • Create engaging, play-based learning activities • Facilitate effective communication with parents and staff • Respect individual differences within a multicultural setting • Adapt educational strategies to diverse learning needs

Requirements:• Two years of Early Childhood Education training or equivalent • Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators • At least one year of childcare experience • CPR certification required • Recent Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector
