Security Consultant, Ahuntsic North

Role Overview A Security Consultant in Akamai's Government Services team serves as the main contact for security services, ensuring seamless integration and support for U.S. and Canadian government customers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and adjust solutions to meet client needs

Partner with internal sales teams to fully understand customer business needs and ensure their success

Participate in internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving methodology and solution delivery quality

Participate in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency and improving methodology and service quality

Qualifications

At least 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL and understanding how CDNs work

Relevant customer-facing experience within a consultative environment

Interest or achievement in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or similar

Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques

Understanding of implementation concepts involving web development, IT systems, or security practice

Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges from CAD 70,600 to 127,000 per year, determined by experience, skills, and certifications. The compensation package may include incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
