School Bus Driver Part Time - OTTAWA West Routes 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants

Your role

You are responsible for safely transporting what we call "the most precious cargo" to and from school

Ensure students' safety while boarding and exiting buses

Be responsible for performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety

Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus

Requirements

You are safety focused

You hold a valid minimum full Ontario G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers

You are 21 years of age or over

You possess clean driving record and criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening

You have a sound knowledge of the Ottawa West region and surrounding areas

You have the ability to work independently

You are available for the required split shifts of 4-5 hours total, that could run: Monday - Friday between 6:30am - 9:30am and 1:30pm - 5pm

You possess solid communication skills. There will be a pre-hire driving skills and radio communication assessment

Your location

We offer a competitive hourly driving rate $23.00 per hour

PLUS there is a $2000 retention bonus for qualifying drivers - your commitment really PAYS!

You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily split if you take the morning and afternoon for a full route

Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours

Most routes are 20-25 hours per week
