Light Duty Cleaner, Ahuntsic North

GDI is an integrated facility maintenance service provider working across Canada and the United States.

General Description A light-duty cleaner is responsible for cleaning tasks including hard surface floor cleaning, carpeted area vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and the collection of garbage and recycling.

Schedule&Hours Full time, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear&transparent communication.

Participate in all training as required.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the company.

Sweep, dry mop, wash, and buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.

Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed in assigned buildings.

Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.

Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points.

Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned, including cleaning/disinfecting and polishing fixtures and appliances as applicable, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.

Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.

Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc., removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.

Clean elevators as applicable.

Monitor possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.

Perform high dusting and wall washing.

Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.

Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.

Experience with auto scrubbers is an asset.

Dependable and have reliable transportation.

Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
