What can you expect from the role? Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently. Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy. Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems.Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement. Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files. Assisting in managing the property queues. Availability to work within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST. What you bring to the role?A university degree, 2-year college diploma, or CIP designation would be an asset. Licensing in New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland would be an asset. Experience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset). Familiarity with CICS and CDS systems. Proficient in MS Word and Excel.Actively pursuing CIP designation. Must be available to participate in catastrophic loss duties across Ontario (potentially on a national basis) if support is required by other regions. Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset. Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers.Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure. Team player adaptable to a changing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Salary:
