French&English Teacher/Tutor (In‑Person Position)

Location: Oxford Learning Barrhaven, Ottawa, Ontario. Employment Type: Part-Time. Salary: $18.50 to $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities: Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels. Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times. Schedule: After‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) Monday to Friday, with some Saturday availability (9:00 am – 3:00 pm). Commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better.Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field; university students with extensive tutoring experience considered; teaching certification an asset. Knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum. Experience teaching/tutoring French at the Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level.Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Must instruct class sessions in French. Additional Qualifications: Strong background in spoken and written French and English.Comfortable teaching up to Grade 9 (up to Grade 12 preferred). Commitment to after‑school, evenings, and weekend sessions. Must be able to commute to the location. Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.
