What You Bring

Occupational Therapist (OT) designation with experience in: o Community / home care settings

DME or accessibility-focused environments

Teaching, clinical leadership or continuing education

Strong communication and teaching skills, both in-person and on-camera

Experience working as a community OT, helping families be independent and safe

Experience working in or with DME teams and home modification environments

Passion for helping others live independently and confidently

Willingness to travel occasionally and represent the brand in front of professional and public audiences

A desire to make a broader impact beyond 1:1 care

Passionate about education, advocacy and system change

Values working in a mission-driven company that respects occupational therapy knowledge

Experience working within a business or manufacturing environment and collaborating with sales teams to support education, training, and product knowledge is considered an asset.

What This Role Is Not Looking For

A clinician who prefers direct patient care and isn’t interested in communication, education, or marketing

Someone who’s uncomfortable discussing products as part of proactive care

A candidate with no experience working with DME's, home modifications, or product-based solutions.

Someone who avoids public speaking, video content, or being a visible representative of a brand

Increased product adoption driven by education

Higher confidence and product literacy among retailers, installers, and clinicians

Clearer alignment between fall prevention, home safety, and mobility offerings in DME settings

HealthCraft is seen as the go-to voice for practical Home Safety, Fall Prevention and Transfer Solutions

Key Responsibilities

Deliver virtual and in-person training that elevates product confidence for DME dealers, installers and healthcare professionals

Simplify clinical insights into accessible concepts for non-clinical audiences

Host engaging workshops, webinars, and in-services that highlight both product utility and the functional implications of prevention

Prescriber Education&Training

Build partnerships with clinicians, healthcare organizations, and safety advocates– expanding our prescriber network through relationship building and education

Support knowledge transfer that bridges clinical reasoning and real-world product use across clients, caregivers, and professionals

Champion HealthCraft products by reframing fall prevention, home safety and accessibility products as a proactive lifestyle choice, not a reactionary fix

Serve as a trusted subject matter expert in fall risks, aging in place, and safety standards

Collaborate on webinars or educational opportunities offered by CAOT, Canadian Seating and Mobility Conference, iNNERTS, or other professional organizations.

Content Creation

Support our DME, Remodeler/Installer and Prescriber audiences with impactful content for print, email and on our professional's website

Create handouts, articles, and video content that translate clinical expertise into understandable information and relatable stories

Act as an on-camera educator and public-facing brand ambassador

Collaborate to produce content that’s both clinically credible and digitally engaging

Community Engagement (as required)

Represent HealthCraft through advocacy group participation (i.e. SAFE Ottawa), tradeshows (i.e. AdaptExpo), and community events (i.e. CARP or Council on Aging)

Help elevate HealthCraft’s visibility, ensuring we’re seen as a thought leader in fall prevention

Bring clinical insight into product development conversations

Host and facilitate OT feedback workshops to validate product concepts and improve usability

Total Compensation&Care

Base Salary: Dependent on experience and demonstrated performance, ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 depending on the skills.

Performance Award: Dependent on business success and contribution

Formal training: Budget per year based on growth plan

Informal training: Personal development one‑on‑one&group coaching/mentoring from Management, Leadership Team, and outside experts on topics such as health&wellness, communication&personality type awareness (DISC), organizational skills
