Truck Driver, Ahuntsic North

Position Overview ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to operate our trucks hauling scrap metal to and from different locations to our Terrace, B.C. location. Occasionally, you may need to haul material to and from other ABC locations and partner companies.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record along with experience operating roll‑off trucks, self‑loading cranes such as Hi‑Ab, and body jobs. The ability to complete daily logs and reports and carry out the instructions is also essential.

Responsibilities

Performs pre/post‑trip inspections of the vehicle assigned to drive.

Communicates with customers in a professional manner.

Carries out general safety practices of a commercial driver.

Carries out instructions from Dispatch in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

Must have valid Class 1 license with air brakes.

Preferably 3-4 years’ experience.

End dump knowledge is an asset.

Experience with roll‑offs, body jobs and dump trucks preferred.

Experience with self‑loading cranes or Hiab is a definite asset.

Prior experience in scrap metal recycling or demolition would be beneficial.
