HSE Student, Ahuntsic North

Responsibilities

Assisting the HSE Professional with inspections and incidental investigations Managing documents (ie. data entry, SMC entries, taking minutes, filing etc.) Assisting with the orientation of new employees Developing training materials Reviewing paperwork (ie. PSI, tailgate meetings, safework procedure, trend analysis)Monitoring and maintaining the environmental program Recognizing and following PCL and local legislative requirements Analyzing site‑specific trends and incidents and reporting findings to district Gathering/reviewing/distributing safety‑related statistical information Interpreting, communicating, and reinforcing project safety standards to workforceQualifications

Ability to implement HSE program elements and safe operating procedures Knowledge of environmental requirements and the ability to implement systems which meet compliance Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards The ability to determine the cause of an incident, and to initiate and implement corrective action to prevent the likelihood of reoccurrenceExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong willingness to learn The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37– $31.33 based on your experience and qualifications.
