Arcadis Transportation Planner

Arcadis is seeking a Transportation Planner to join our growing transportation team. We are actively working to make communities more sustainable through strategic multimodal transportation planning. The role requires diverse skills including policy review and analysis, data analysis, technical and policy writing, and an awareness of key planning frameworks and policies such as the Provincial Policy Statement, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, and Ontario Traffic Manuals. Experience with public and/or stakeholder consultation and knowledge of sustainable transportation planning principles are essential. Additionally, the position includes a business development component involving responses to requests for proposals, general business development activities, and maintaining and developing industry relationships.Key Responsibilities

Support and lead a variety of transportation planning tasks within the Mobility Advisory team, including conducting policy and planning review and analysis. Perform transportation data and network analysis and contribute to the development of broader strategic plans such as transportation master plans and policies related to safety and complete streets.Write and lead the creation of key reports, including background context reports, needs assessments, network development documentation, and consultation summaries. Plan and execute consultation activities, preparing presentations and materials for meetings, and analyze feedback from stakeholders.Work in multijurisdictional planning environments, balancing the priorities of multiple agencies and evaluating planning solutions through the development of multi‑criteria evaluation frameworks and key performance indicators. Manage client relationships, ensuring high‑quality service and successful project outcomes.Stay informed about ongoing and evolving industry and municipal best practices in transportation planning, covering equity, goods movement, complete streets, emerging technologies, road user safety, traffic calming, active transportation, travel demand management, public health, and other community‑building initiatives.Lead project tasks on multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, quality control, and contributing to and leading proposal development efforts. Qualifications&Experience

A minimum of six years of experience in a related field. University degree in urban/regional planning, civil engineering, or a related field. Eligibility to become a Registered Professional Planner or a Professional Engineer is an asset. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of Microsoft Access, ArcGIS, or Adobe Illustrator is an asset.Benefits

$71,000 - $106,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. EEO Statement
