Building caretaker (Laval)

Work Term: Permanent Work Language: Bilingual Hours: 80 hours bi-weekly Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 5 years or more Work setting Apartment/condominium complex Various locations Willing to relocate Tasks Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse Empty trash cans and other waste containers Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Perform minor repairs on appliances Perform safety and security checks Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants Supervise other workers Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Work with minimal supervision Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Remove litter and garbage Provide general information to clients and the public Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas Perform routine equipment maintenance Order supplies and maintain inventory Load, move, sort and pile materials and supplies Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met Provide customer service Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Area of work experience Cleaning Equipment Power tools Power lawn mowers Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments) Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment Upholstery cleaning equipment Snowblower Security and safety Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities Work under pressure Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling Personal suitability Dependability Excellent oral communication Flexibility Initiative Judgement Organized Reliability Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
