We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over local and long-haul distances Ensure all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and balanced before transit Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed, including heavy lifting when necessary Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly Skills Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in Quebec Valid Class 1 / AZ licence in valuable standing Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents Solid knowledge of traffic laws, HOS regulations, and transportation safety standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Positive communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients Ability to stay alert during long hours of driving and maintain focus on safety Physical stamina to handle the demands of heavy lifting and extended periods of driving Compensation $0.55 – $0.65 per mile based on experience Equivalent to approximately $27 – $36 per hour on highway miles Pay: $27.50-$33.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule On-site parking Licence/Certification: Class 1 Licence (preferred) Work Location: On the road Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pn6b7
