Overview

As a Government and Public Sector Operations Senior Associate, you will work in PwC’s Operations and Procurement team, delivering business transformation initiatives across the public sector. Your role will involve collaborating with senior professionals on high‑profile engagements, driving operational excellence, and acting as a strategic advisor to clients. Responsibilities

Lead and/or support client workshops, facilitation, interviews, and data collection efforts. Design and execute business transformations, including program and project management and benefits analysis. Develop business architecture to inform solution design and assess operational readiness, including the impact of legislation and policy. Create performance frameworks and evaluation models, Service Delivery Models, and Target Operating Models. Implement program transition support and fit‑for‑purpose service/program reviews and evaluations. Support business process design, re‑engineering, productivity and cost‑optimization initiatives. Build and present actionable insights through data analysis, market research, and benchmarking. Maintain thorough project documentation, ensuring data accuracy and quality. Delegate tasks, provide direction, and support junior team members, fostering their growth and development. Raise risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project plans, timelines, and deliverables are met. Represent the firm in client interactions, positioning yourself as a strategic advisor and identifying potential business opportunities. Assist in business development activities and support internal practice development projects. Qualifications

3–5years of project‑based work in the public sector or a consulting environment. Experience in data analysis, process mapping, optimization, performance management, market research, and organizational design. Proficiency in supporting large, complex system implementations (e.g., SaaS, HCM, ERP). Strong data modeling and visualization skills, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and process efficiency. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills; ability to produce high‑quality deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, including delegation and clear expectation setting. Agile working experience, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to reprioritize as needed. Mentoring experience and a record of developing team members. Ability to translate technical or complex information into easy language for non‑technical stakeholders. Deep interest in the public sector, understanding of government structures, policies, and regulations. Commitment to valuing diversity and inclusive teamwork. Compensation
