Job #5041 – Our client, a well-established and highly respected organization within the real estate development and asset management sector, is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role plays an integral part within the finance function and works closely with senior leadership to support asset management initiatives, monitor investment performance, and oversee financial operations related to real estate investments. We are seeking a highly capable candidate who brings a strong professional presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the main responsibilities include:Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a real estate investment portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of quarterly and annual financial statementsLead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, amortization schedules, and maintenance of the general ledgerPrepare audit-ready working papers and support external reporting, audits, and compliance requirements while strengthening internal controls and governance processesDrive process improvements and system optimization initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation across accounting functionsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior accounting staff while contributing to strategic finance and system implementation projects, including accounting software conversionsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded
