Senior Accountant at Assent Finance Team, Ahuntsic North

Become a pivotal member of Assent's Finance team as a Senior Accountant. Engage in complex financial accounting functions and revenue analysis in a fast-paced SaaS environment while coaching juniors.

Assent is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to independently handle comprehensive financial accounting tasks. This role emphasizes month-end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting. You will also contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives, actively participating in implementing new accounting systems and AI tools to enhance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately • Review sales orders for revenue recognition compliance • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements • Coordinate annual audit process and respond to auditor requests • Champion automation opportunities within the finance cycle

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, especially IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite • Currently pursuing or holding CPA designation
