Position Overview

Voyago and East Ferris Bus Lines are currently recruiting School Bus Drivers in Simcoe, Hanover, Kingston, Ottawa, and North Bay for the Student Transportation division. The role is a split shift– approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Being close to the school coverage area is essential.Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day. Prioritize student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle. Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition. Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, assist with fueling, basic upkeep, and present a professional vehicle.Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting safe operation. Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations. Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers. Qualifications

Safety-focused. Hold a valid full Ontario G‑class driver’s licence; B‑class preference will be given. 21 years of age or older. Clean driving record and a criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening. Sound knowledge of the locations in this posting. Ability to work independently.Available for required split shifts of 4–5 hours total, Monday‑Friday between 6:30am‑9:30am and 1:30pm‑5:00pm. Strong communication skills and fluency in English; a pre‑hire driving skills and radio communication assessment will be administered. Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit.Location&Compensation

Competitive hourly driving rate for Big Yellow, ranging from $20.70 to $23.00. $2,000 retention bonus for qualifying drivers. Compensation for a 3.5 to 4‑hour daily minimum (varies per contract) if you drive both the morning and afternoon runs for a full route.
