THE ROLE As the Advisory Practice Specialist, Insurance, you will assist with the development and creation of insurance practice strategies, plans and communications to achieve desired client and advisor experience, growth, profitability and business objectives. You will also provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to advisors in the provision of financial advice and expertise in insurance solutions.

Full‑time hybrid position with a designated work location allowing work from both a corporate office and home, per CFMWS FlexWork Policy and manager approval.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field AND years of experience in Life Insurance Services

College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or related field AND several years of experience in Life Insurance Services

Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and provincial life insurance licence (Ontario)

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) is an asset

Experience

In developing, implementing and evaluating financial services business plans and strategies

In developing an integrated financial services client experience

In the provision of life and disability insurance services

In analyzing client behaviours and consumer trends

In analyzing books of business and markets to determine trends and opportunities

In researching and applying compliance requirements

In relationship management and business development

In selling insurance products and services

In providing advice and guidance, mentoring and coaching

In planning, coordinating, managing and controlling the delivery of financial products and services

In conducting compliance, technical, and procedural reviews

In using customer relationship management (CRM) systems

In developing, evaluating and interpreting policies and procedures

In change management (asset)

Responsibilities

Assist with the development and creation of insurance practice strategies, plans and communications to achieve desired client and advisor experience, growth, profitability and business objectives.

Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to advisors in the provision of financial advice and expertise in insurance solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training strategies and solutions and identify training needs.

Provide support in the enhancement of processes and service standards.

Manage the administration of surveys to analyze and identify awareness, usage and satisfaction levels of services, as well as interest in new services.

Assist with the evaluation and implementation of service delivery standards, approaches and strategies to achieve desired member experience.
