Join the University of Ottawa as a part time ESL Instructor for the Academic Bridging course, enhancing student language proficiency and writing. Classes run from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This position for Fall 2026 involves engaging with around 25 students in ESL 140. You will play a crucial role in developing their critical listening, speaking, and writing skills through authentic texts and varied teaching methods. The focus will be on creating an inclusive classroom that caters to diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct interactive ESL lessons with a focus on writing • Prepare students for real-world language usage • Utilize diverse assessment methods to track progress • Foster a collaborative classroom atmosphere • Coordinate with other faculty for teaching effectiveness

Requirements: • Master’s degree in TESL or related discipline • Two years teaching experience at the college level • Experience teaching ESL or similar courses • Team-teaching experience is preferred • TESL Certification or equivalent
