Tumbling Instructor (Leamington)

Established dance studio in Leamington, Ontario is seeking an experienced and passionate Tumbling/Acro Instructor. We are looking for a motivated individual to teach one or more evenings per week, with additional opportunities for semi-private and private lessons. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in tumbling, gymnastics, acro technique, and experience working with students ages 3–18. A background in dance is considered an asset, but not required. Candidates should be confident in teaching skills such as: - Forward & backward rolls and variations - Cartwheels, walkovers, and aerial progressions - Front and Back Handsprings - Handstands, bridges, and flexibility training - Strength and conditioning for acro/tumbling - Back tucks, layouts and their drills/progressions A passion for working with children, a positive attitude, and a strong focus on secure skill development are essential. Responsibilities: - Lead structured, engaging, and safe acro/tumbling classes for various ages and levels - Teach proper technique and progressions with a strong emphasis on injury prevention - Provide corrections and individualized feedback to support student growth - Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment - Assess student progress and communicate with families when needed - Attend staff meetings and contribute feedback on programming - Assist with studio events, performances, and annual open house Qualifications & Experience: - Experience teaching acro/tumbling to children and teens - Strong understanding of safe progressions and spotting techniques - Background in acro, gymnastics, cheer, or dance - Experience working with a range of skill levels and abilities - Acro certification (e.g., Acrobatic Arts) is an asset, but not required - NCCP coach certificate is an asset, but not required - First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset Studio Information: Cassiah’s Dance Company 27 Erie Street N, Leamington, ON Core Competencies: Values: Consistently demonstrates the studio’s commitment to inclusivity, positivity, and encouraging all students to grow and express themselves.
