Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards for quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence in the food industry. This shift starts at 8 am and goes till 4 pm Monday to Friday. Responsibilities - Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards - Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques - Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards - Assist with food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients - Package baked goods attractively for retail display or customer takeout orders - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area - Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of products - Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed Skills - Proven experience in cake decorating and pastry arts preferred - Strong background in food preparation, baking, and cooking within a restaurant or bakery setting - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers - Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail - Experience in food packaging and presentation techniques - Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable - Familiarity with food industry regulations and best practices for hygiene and safety Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: - Discounted or free food - Store discount Ability to commute/relocate: - Camrose, AB T4V 0S4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: - Baking: 1 year (preferred) Language: - English (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o4orf
